Chapter 1: What we collect

We collect only the information needed to run the store and serve you:

  • Contact details: your name, email address, and phone number.
  • Addresses: your shipping and billing addresses.
  • Order details: what you ordered, order numbers, tracking numbers, and messages about your order.
  • Messages: what you write to us by email or through the contact form.
  • Site use: basic technical data such as pages visited and device type, collected through cookies as described in Chapter 5.

Chapter 2: Why we collect it

Each piece of information has a job:

  • Fulfillment: your name and shipping address go on the parcel, and your email carries the order confirmation and tracking.
  • Shipping and tracking: the carrier needs a delivery address and, where the carrier supports it, a phone number for delivery messages.
  • Support: your email and order details let us answer questions, start returns, and handle defect claims.
  • Fraud prevention: order and payment signals help us spot orders that do not look legitimate.
  • Legal and tax records: order records are kept as tax and accounting law requires.

We do not use your information for purposes outside this list, and we do not sell your personal information to anyone.

Chapter 3: Who we share it with

We share information only with the services that make the store work:

  • Shopify — the platform that hosts the store and processes orders.
  • Payment processors — the services that move money for your order (for example Shop Pay, PayPal, Apple Pay, Google Pay, and the card networks). They receive the payment details they need to charge you.
  • Carriers — DHL eCommerce for most parcels, and the U.S. Postal Service parcel service for PO Box, APO, FPO, and U.S. territory addresses. They receive the delivery address and tracking details.
  • Email provider — the service that sends your order, tracking, and support emails.

Each of these services has its own privacy policy for the data it handles. We do not share your information with data brokers or advertisers.

Chapter 4: Cookies

Cookies are small files your browser stores when you visit the site. We use two kinds:

  • Essential cookies: these keep the site working — your cart, your checkout session, and basic security. The site cannot work without them.
  • Optional analytics cookies: these help us understand which pages people visit, so we can improve the store. You can decline them in your browser settings; the store still works.

To decline optional cookies, use your browser's cookie or privacy settings. Clearing cookies in your browser removes the ones already stored.

Chapter 5: Your rights

You can ask us to:

  • Show you the personal information we hold about you (access).
  • Correct information that is wrong.
  • Delete your personal information, where the law allows.
  • Export your information in a portable form.

Send requests to payment@pawplay.shop. We reply within 30 days. We may need to check your identity before we hand over or delete information, so that we do not give your data to someone pretending to be you.

Chapter 6: California rights (CCPA / CPRA)

If you live in California, you have the rights in Chapter 5 plus these:

  • Know: what personal information we collect, why, and who we share it with.
  • Delete: ask us to delete your personal information, subject to legal exceptions such as tax records.
  • Correct: ask us to fix inaccurate information.
  • Opt out of transfers: we do not transfer your personal information to third parties for advertising purposes, so there is nothing to opt out of — but you can still ask us to confirm that.
  • Non-discrimination: exercising any of these rights will not change the prices, products, or service you receive from us.

California requests go to the same address: payment@pawplay.shop. An authorized agent may make a request on your behalf with proof that you asked them to.

Chapter 7: Retention

We keep order records for as long as tax and accounting law requires, and support messages for as long as they are needed to handle follow-up questions about your order. After that, records are deleted. If you ask us to delete your information, we delete what the law allows us to delete and tell you what we must keep and why.

Chapter 8: Children

This store is not marketed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has given us information, email us at payment@pawplay.shop and we will delete it.

Chapter 9: Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the new version is posted on this page with a new effective date. The version on this page is the one that applies to your visit. For questions about privacy, email payment@pawplay.shop.
